It was fabulous day of celebration at LBTS today as year 11 collected their fantastic GCSE results. Once again, LBTS students outperformed compared to the National Average in their GCSEs, particularly in English and Maths.

Headlines include:

• 10% of students achieved at least one grade 9

• Nearly a quarter of students achieved at least one grade 8  

• 40% of students achieved at least one grade 7

• 83% of students achieved at least one grade 5 and 92% at least a grade 4 - the overwhelming majority!

• 7 students achieved grade 9 in GCSE English! 

Some of our student headliners include:

• Kien who achieved 9 GCSEs at grade 8 or above, including 3 at grade 9

• Carmel who achieved 6 GCSEs at grade 8 and 9

• Sharon who achieved 10 GCSEs at grade 7 or above, including 4 grade 8s and a grade 9

• Fatima who got a grade 9 in BOTH English Literature & English Language

Congratulations Year 11 - all your hard work (md the hard work of staff!) has well and truly paid off!
